No Roll Pie Crust - Easy Easy Easy
By Deb Bloom of Gimme One of Each
I am 47 years old and I cannot make a homemade pie crust. I have tried and tried. For many years, I used the ready made Pillsbury pie crust but they haven't been as good lately. I found a recipe my Mom used to use and I would like to share it with you. It is really good. No rolling pin required. No perfect amount of flour or water. No mistakes. I will tell you though, it isn't a pretty crust, if you know what I mean. Because of the consistency of it, and it won't roll out nice and smooth, it can be hard to work with. The bottom crust isn't too bad because you place a ball of dough in the pie pan and press it into the pan. You have to piece the top on in large pieces. It's good, so I don't care what it looks like! Try it, you'll love it. Ingredients: 1 1/2 C flour 1/2 cup oil 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 1/2 tablespoon water 2 dashes of salt Mix all ingredients together and form your 9 inch crust. You'll have to double the recipe for a 2 crust pie. Bake as you would any type of crust depending on your filling. Enjoy!

Contributor's Note
I love to bake and thought I would share some recipes. The recipes I use are from my Mom or a handmade recipe book handed down to me many years ago.
